Although QMK (quote my kitchen) is new to the online world it is has been around for many years in the real world!! Having owned and operated a number of bricks and mortar kitchen studios in the west midlands we quickly realised the market was changing. Consumers were more and more price driven whilst still expecting the same level of quality.
About Us
We at QMK understood that all of the costs associated with operating showrooms such as rent, rates, electricity, staff costs etc added upto 80% to the price to the end consumer. We could offer in fact a higher specified product for a cheaper price!!
Previously we would deliver kitchens that were either flat packed or cabinets that were assembled and the fitter/customer would attach the drawers and doors. We found that doors would often be lost, damaged or misplaced and would inevitably hold up the installation. So as a result of this we talked to our manufacturers and came up with a simple solution….attach all drawer fronts and doors to the cabinet!
Take a 1000mm Drawerline base unit, this item has 2 x 500mm wide drawers and 2 x 500mm wide doors below so that would mean 5 separate components (including the cabinet) now we have condensed this into one product ready to be unwrapped and fitted!
Most of our business is driven from kitchen installers keen to use a fitter friendly product that not only is cheaper but hands down better!!
